The Evzones Collection continues to inspire worldwide. Now, it is preparing for a U.S. tour, bringing Greek heritage to new audiences. The Evzones Collection is not only showcasing over thirty photos at this exhibition, but also planning workshops that will include the Presidential Guard Evzones Association. This association will play a vital role in the U.S. tour by offering expert insights into the history and evolution of Greece’s elite ceremonial unit, the Evzones. Made up solely of Guardsmen who have completed their military service, as well as military historians, reenactors, scientists, and cultural experts, the society provides in-depth knowledge through experiential learning about the historical significance of the Evzones, the symbolism of their uniforms, and their transformation since antiquity, including the Greek War of Independence in 1821, as well as later conflicts like the Balkan Wars, the two World Wars, and today.
